Ingredients

  • ¼ cup of chia seeds

  • ½ tsp of fine grain sea salt

  • 1/3 cup of honey or maple syrup

  • ½ cup of cocoa powder

  • 3 cups of rolled oats

  • 1 cup of buckwheat

  • 1 ½ cups of coconut flakes

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F / 175°C.

  • Put oat, buckwheat, coconut flakes, chia seeds, roughly chopped nuts, and coconut sugar in a bowl.

  • In a small saucepan, melt coconut oil over a low-medium flame.

  • Add honey or maple syrup, vanilla, salt, and cocoa powder to it. Whisk to combine them to a smooth paste.

  • Pour liquid ingredients over dry and fold coat.

  • Spread mixture out in an even layer on a lined baking sheet and press firmly with the back of a spatula to ensure that the mixture is compact

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes.

  • Remove from the oven, flip granola in large chunks, and place back in the oven to bake for another 10 minutes, stirring every 3-4 minutes until toasted and fragrant.
